2011 Season Schedule & Club Rules

Sunday, March 13 – Ease(y) Into Spring. Straight stroke play from the red tees only. Gross and Net payouts. $20.00 per player.

Saturday, April 9 – Individual Stroke Play. Standard individual, stroke play tournament. Net and Gross payouts. $20 per player

Saturday & Sunday, May 14 &15 – One Person Best Ball. Individual stroke play on both days. On the second day, try to improve your score on each hole from the first day. Lowest score on each hole over the 2 days will determine the total score. Net and Gross payouts. $30 per player.

Sunday, June 12 - 9 / 9 / 9. Two-man tournament with formats changing every 9 holes. The first 9 holes would be a Scramble format, the second 9 holes would be a Best Ball format and the last 9 holes would be a true Alternate Shot format. Combined course handicaps shall be 10 or greater. A maximum of 10 strokes between partner handicaps will be allowed for tournament and day game purposes. Net and Gross payouts. $20 per player.

Sunday, July 10 – Multiple Tee. Each player must play 4 holes from the black and blue tees and 5 holes from the white and red tees of their choice in a stroke play format. Net and Gross payouts. $20 per player.

Saturday & Sunday, August 20 & 21 – Men’s Club Championship. Straight stroke play over 2 days to determine best net and gross players. $50.00 per player. Net and Gross payouts.

Sunday, September 11 – 3 Club. Each player will be allowed to play the round with only 3 clubs of his choice. If chosen, the putter counts as one of the 3 clubs allowed. Net & Gross payouts. $20.00 per player.

Sunday, October 9 – format TBD. Possible formats include a Mad Russian (with holes cut in impossible positions), Blind Partner Draw, 2-Man Shamble, etc.

SUPER SWINDLES ARE SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 20 AND SEPTEMBER 25. PLAYERS MUST HAVE PLAYED AT LEAST SEVEN (7) SWINDLES SINCE THE PRIOR SUPER SWINDLE TO BE ELIGIBLE – NO EXCEPTIONS.


Additional information for Men’s Club tournaments, the weekend Swindle and the Super Swindles:

The following areas shall be played as a Lateral Hazard, marked or unmarked:

#2 Ditch area to the right of the fairway
#3 Native area to the right of the fairway
#4 Ditch area left of the fairway and green
#6 Native area in front of tee box and left of the green
#7 Native area left of the fairway
#9 Ditch area to the right of the fairway
#10 Ditch area right of the fairway
#11 Ditch areas left and right of fairway
#12 Ditch areas left, right and long of the green
#13 Native area right of the fairway
#15 Ditch areas left and right of the fairway

In accordance with USGA Decision 14.3/0.5, the use of devices to measure distance will be allowed. These devices must measure distance only, not wind, gradient, etc. This applies to all Men’s Club Events, the weekend Swindles and the Super Swindles.

10% of each weekend’s Swindle will continue to be withheld for the next Super Swindle. To qualify for the next Super Swindle, a player must have played in at least 7 weekend Swindles since the prior Super Swindle.

For any Men’s Club events that involve partners, the 10 / 10 rules will be applied. The combined partner course handicaps must be 10 or greater and a maximum of 10 handicap difference will be allowed between handicaps.

The use of cell phones on a golf course can be detrimental to the game and to your playing partners. The use of cell phones during any Men’s Club events or Swindles is strongly discouraged. For Men’s Club events, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary, including warnings, assessment of penalty strokes or disqualification.

For Men’s Club events, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to adjust tournament handicaps as deemed necessary.

To be eligible to play in the Men’s Club Championship, a player must have joined the Men’s Club and played in at least two (2) 2011 Men’s Club tournaments prior to the 2011 Men’s Club Championship.
