Other recommended events at Walkingstick GC include: SoCo Amateur – May 2 & 3, 2009. ESPN 2-Man – June 7, 2009. These are not Men’s Club events, but participation is encouraged.
Another possible event: Cougar Canyon GC is apparently forming a Mens Club and they have asked about a possible ‘Here & There’ with the Walkingstick Mens Club. This could occur either on a consecutive Saturday & Sunday or two weekend days separated by a week or so. If there is enough interest, we will pursue such an event.
SUNDAY, MARCH 29, 2009 – NEXT SUPER SWINDLE. PLAYERS MUST HAVE PLAYED AT LEAST SEVEN (7) SWINDLES SINCE THE SEPTEMBER 28, 2008 SUPER SWINDLE – NO EXCEPTIONS. THE FALL SUPER SWINDLE IS SCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2009.

2009 Organizational Meeting POSTPONED
Gentlemen:
I learned today that the furnace is out of service in the Walkingstick clubhouse. According to Dave Lewis, it may be up to 2 weeks before a replacement furnace can be manufactured and installed.
Considering recent temperatures, alternate sites for this Thursday's meeting were considered and investigated. However, with such short notice, nothing suitable appears to be available. So I've decided to postpone the meeting.
Please note that the 2009 Walkingstick Mens Club meeting will now be held:
Thursday, February 12, 2009
Walkingstick Restaurant
6:00 PM
Thanks,
Denny

The 2009 Season - Update
Gentlemen:
In regards to comments I posted on October 12, 2008:
As you may know by now, Dave Lewis has been retained by the City of Pueblo as the professional at Walkingstick Golf Course, with a 5 year contract.
On a personal note, I have once again retired. Although I may have another professional opportunity later this year, I see no reason why I cannot continue with the Mens Club in 2009, should you decide to retain me and the Committee.
